British Prime Minister David Cameron has visited the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center site in New York, as part of his official trip to the US.
Cameron and his wife viewed the construction project from the 21st floor of the new One World Trade Center, and studied images of how the 105-storey skyscraper will look when it’s completed in 2013.
New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg then escorted the couple to the 9/11 Memorial.
Mrs. Cameron placed a bouquet at the memorial where the names of the people that died in the attacks on September 11th, 2001 are engraved.
Cameron’s visit to Manhattan is part of his visit to the US.
